Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are one of most impressive procedures in cosmetic dentistry. Porcelain veneers, unlike full coverage porcelain crowns, can be paper-thin and will bond onto the front of your tooth improving the shading and shape of your teeth for an aesthetic smile you’ve always wanted.

Try Veneers if you have crooked, chipped, or stained teeth

Porcelain veneers are thin restorations that are added to the front of your teeth to enhance your smile. They help to cover up flaws and minor imperfections that might have you feeling badly about your appearance. Veneers are made specifically for each patient, so they feel and look completely natural. The hand layered porcelain has a dynamic quality that catches and reflects light, just like the enamel of your natural teeth.  Veneers require minimal preparation, in some instances no preparation, and can correct a number of cosmetic issues.

What Can Porcelain Veneers Do?

  • Close space between teeth
  • Restore chipped teeth
  • Cover unsightly stains or discoloration
  • Restore unevenly size or misshapen teeth
  • Give a bright smile that cannot be achieved with bleaching alone
  • Correct crooked teeth

Why would Porcelain Veneers be needed?

The reason you might want or need veneers is because the front of your smile is flawed. Your teeth might be cracked, stained, discolored, unevenly spaced or unsightly. Rather than undergo extensive procedures to fix these issues, veneers will cover them up and provide you with the full and healthy smile you’ve always wanted. Veneers are best for adults wanting a complete cosmetic change to their appearance.

“My family has been using Fiorentini Family Dentistry for over 30 years. They have helped us through routine, restorative and emergency dental needs. We cannot recommend them high enough.”

Are Porcelain Veneers Right for Me?

Porcelain veneers are a great solution to achieving the aesthetic smile you have always dreamed of, but there are limitations and they may not be the best solution for everyone. Every tooth and person is different and it is very important to have a full consult and treatment plan with Dr. Fiorentini to understand all of your options to know what is the best solution for the results you desire.

Individuals who have structurally weak teeth or who are prone to severe bruxism may be better suited for treatment with a full coverage porcelain crown.

The Veneers Process

The veneer process begins with a comprehensive consultation where Dr. Fiorentini will discuss which aspects of your smile you most want to enhance. Veneers can alter the size, shape, and shade of your teeth. Once we have an idea of the smile you are looking for, we will create a model of the proposed design so that we can show you what your requested treatment will look like.

The placement of veneers is generally a two-visit process that requires Dr. Fiorentini to prepare the teeth and take a final impression. During your second visit, the veneer will be placed by bonding it to the existing the teeth to give you a beautiful, aesthetic smile.

Do My Teeth Need To Be Cut Down?

In some instances, no natural tooth is required to be removed before porcelain veneer placement. Some of the teeth may need to be shaped to allow for proper contours of the final veneer, but there is very minimal to no preparation of the teeth required.

What is the Cost of Porcelain Veneers

The total cost of your veneers depends upon the number of total teeth being worked on and the type of material being used. A comprehensive consult with Dr. Fiorentini can help you better determine what the total cost will be.

Veneers are usually considered an elective cosmetic procedure, so they are not typically covered by dental insurance. Our office is happy to submit claims to insurance on your behalf to see if you might have any coverage. The overall amount or percentage that is covered by your insurance will vary depending upon the plan provider and the specifics of the particular plan that you purchased. Our friendly office staff at Fiorentini Family Dentistry is happy to help you better understand what out-of-pocket expenses you may incur.

You do not need dental insurance to receive the highest quality dental care. At Fiorentini Family Dentistry, we provide multiple options to help you get affordable cosmetic dentistry. We have our own In-Office Savings Plan that can help you stay regular with your hygiene visits while receiving a discount on most services. We also provide no interest financing options either through our office or through CareCredit. Our office also accepts payment by check, cash, or major credit card for all procedures.

Taking Care of Your Veneers

After receiving veneers, you must maintain great oral hygiene. Your new porcelain veneers should be treated just like natural teeth!  Be sure to brush and floss at least twice a day to help increase their longevity.
